We are pleased to announce that you can now access health services from Woodlands Medical Centre on the new NHS Wales App. The App is a simple and secure way to order repeat prescriptions and view parts of your medical record.  To access the App you must have a fully verified NHS login, or a valid photo ID to prove who you are and be aged 16 or over. 

The NHS Wales App is available in the App store or Google play.  Simply download the App and follow the instructions to create or log in using your NHS login account.   You will need a mobile phone, your own email address and photo ID to create your NHS login account.

If you do not have a mobile phone or cannot use the NHS Wales App on your smart device, you can access the NHS Wales App via an internet browser (such as Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari or Google Chrome) at https://app.nhs.wales/ 

• Before you start, you will need your own individual email address, as your email address acts as your unique identifier for pairing your NHS login account to the NHS Wales App, and a phone number. 
• A 6-digit security code will be sent to your email. You will be asked to enter this code to verify your email address and continue.
• Next, you will be asked to give your mobile phone number. Another 6-digit security code will be sent by text message to your mobile phone. A security code will be sent to your mobile phone every time you log in, unless you select "remember this device and stop sending security codes".
• The NHS account and login are not managed by the NHS Wales App. 
• As the service is available across the UK, it is not currently available in Welsh.

Unfortunately, at the current time there is no alternative solution that NHS Wales can provide for patients that do not have a valid form of photo ID.  Work is currently underway to create a Welsh Identify Verification Service which will allow you to verify your identity through your GP Practice.  Until this becomes available, please continue to order your repeat prescriptions in the same manner that you currently do.
