This charity offers support to individuals aged 18 and over experiencing a broad range of mental health difficulties from low level (Tier 1) to moderate (Tier 2) and accepts self-referrals only which must be made via their website.
The Foundation also delivers weekly support sessions every Wednesday at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The service is delivered by a team of fully qualified and accredited counsellors and psychotherapists, who provide a range of evidence-based interventions, including EMDR, CBT, and integrative counselling approaches.
In addition to therapeutic interventions, the service offers practical support in areas such as finance, housing, substance use, education, employment and training, as well as befriending services. This holistic approach aims to address wider social determinants that may contribute to or exacerbate mental health difficulties. Notably, there is no waiting list for counselling support; individuals are able to access immediate support upon attending the hub.
If you are unable to travel to the Hub at the Principality Stadium, please note this on the referral form and they will ensure that you are asked whether you would like support via telephone, online or one to one in the area close to where you live. They can also provide transport for individuals to get to and from the Hub if needed.
Their website is https://jaclewisfoundation.co.uk/ and the referral from to complete can be found on the home page.
